Desolate Planet
FPS Shooter made with assets from Michigan State University. The goal was to create a short game that gives the feeling of going through an empty planet while overcoming it's challenges. I designed the game with the idea in mind of wanting the player to wonder, "what's going to happen next when I turn this corner." I accomplished my goals by putting environmental game objects covered in sand throughout the levels, just like how a science team would leave behind it's equipment and labs. I also designed multiple unique challenges throughout the the 4 levels of the game. I received positive feedback for the game, with friends saying it was fun to explore and play.

Level 1 is comprised of introductory mechanics of the game, such traversal, switching weapons, and enemies

Level 2 challenges the player by having a build up towards a highway of enemies the player has to fight through, dodging projectiles on the way.

Level 3 furthers this challenge by adding more difficult traversal while fighting enemies, including a maze at the end.

Level 4 finishes off in an uphillbattle against the Hive Queen in a boss battle.

Level 1 - Player enters a science center in complete disarray, confronted with bug enemies. They have to look for a key to open the gate

Level 2 - after traversing a snake - like passage way, they exit to see two giant rolling enemies barreling towards them. Players have to react quickly if they want to surivive!

Level 3 - Players are immediately have to run and parkour down the mountain top as they get chased by exploding bugs!
