Space Escape
2D Platformer made with assets from Michigan State University. The goal was to create a short game that rewards the player for their skill and curiosity. If the player were to veer off the main path and overcome it's challenge, they would be rewarded with picks up to help them further in the game.
I designed the game to test players' precision and timing and feel rewarded when they succeed. As the player makes progress through increasingly more difficult levels, they are rewarded with picks ups and access to other areas. I received feedback from friends who played it that it was a fun and challenging game to play.

​Level 1 is an inductory level to give the player understanding of the game's basic concepts, enemy variations, platforming, and key to doors.

Level 2 gives a more challenging experience to the player, requiring more precision jumping with faster enemies. I included a short maze in the level to make the pacing more dynamic.

Level 3 furthers the game challenges from focusing more on platforming, traps, and faster enemies.
Level 4 finishes the game with all above elements expanded up. The first half is a maze like area you must traverse while avoiding enemies. The second half is a puzzle, requiring the player to figure out the order of doors to access.
