Era's Time Delivery Service
Environment Artist
Prompted by the Magical Girl Jam, I joined a team of 7 people to make Era's Time Delivery Service.

In this game, you go through a series of classic-JRPG-style turn-based battles with a party of up to 3 members. Era plays the role of pivot as she can use time skills to advance, delay or swap fighters' turns. She can even rewind a character's state to several turns in the past!

As the environment artist, I created the background of the game. The lead designer wanted it to be in a mine and a forest. I created the two in photoshop.

This was my first game jam. If I were to go back with what I know now, I'd create more uniformity in the style of the forest level, and fix the shading on the rocks in the mine.

Forthcoming Danger
Lead Game Designer and Artist

Made with the Video Game Design Club at Boston University. The goal was for the club to create a game as a team and create a fun challenging experience for the player.

I started by researching popular 2D games and then presenting that research during meetings. I looked into how the individual aspects of those 2D games affected the feel it. These aspects included the momentum of the game, the art style, sound design, and different game mechanics. After a couple of brainstorming sessions, we decided the game would be a top down 2D shooter, with different types of enemy robots rushing after you.

As the lead artist of the club, I went to work in photoshop to make the tilesets, weapons, enemies, and characters of the game. For the enemies, we discussed their behavior and general appearance during meetings. We also discussed we wanted a pistol, shotgun, and assault rifle for the various weapons of the game. After I would finish my designs, I sent them in the club's discord for feedback, and adjusted accordingly so.

Unfortunately, after I graduated and had to leave the club, leadership changed within the club and they went a different direction.
